Urgent repair needed.

HEAVEN….Edward Ewol Mujie and Peter Liew inspect the collapse road to the heaven or to hell? 

SABAH DAP Vice Chairman Edward Ewol Mujie and State committee member, Peter Liew went to inspect the collapse Tamparuli-Ranau road after received many complaint from the people. So far there is still no sign of any maintenance work carry out.

They ask why it takes the authority concerned such a long time to repair the collapse road. The people are frustrated, instead using the direct road to Ranau, they had to turn to old Tamparuli road before proceeding to Ranau and other place.

It is reliably learnt that the fund can only be obtained in about six months time, then only repair can be done. Edward said this is very perplexing as the Federal Government has announced the additional of Ringgit Malaysia One Billion allocated to Sabah in 2009.

Therefore, the authority concerned should make use of this additional fund to repair the collapse road for the convenience of the Rakyat, he said. Or maybe the authority is waiting until the 10th Malaysia Plan is implemented.

Many foreign like to stay at this lodge because is cheaper compare with other lodge operating from Tamparuli to Ranau Town. Recreation Club - Tamparuli Sabah

Tamparuli Club Hosue.

Citizen of Tamparuli town can relex their minds and body when they came to “Recreation Club " situated at the middle of Tamparuli town.This Club House is located near football field, opposite to Tamparuli Comunity Hall and standing proud which can view by all citizen of Tamparuli town. This so call recreation club provided Karaoke, Gym, sports such as Ping-pong, Badminton, Snooker and so forth for the public. This Club opens from 7 O'clock in the morning till 2 am in the next morning. The Karaoke and pub serve beverage such as beer and cocktail to the customer who like to drinks and sing a song there.

Meanwhile the sport service is charge with minimum price, from RM5 per hour to RM10 per hour. Anything about this club you can make your own observation by visit Tamparuli town. This club is owned by the citizen of Tamparuli, consist of lifetime membership and supervise by District office of Tamparuli. Right now the president of this club house is Mr Francis Soon. For reservation you can contact Ms Miranda Ganggok at the club office from 9am till 5.30pm.

Tamparuli - Pekan Nabalu

Pekan Nabalu Tamparuli Sabah.

Pekan Nabalu located 40km from Tamparuli Town and 32km from Ranau town.It will take one hour from the city of Kota Kinabalu by land transport but depends on traffic condition. It is a beautiful place where you can see the Mount Kinabalu, trees, birds and so forth from there. Tourist from all over the globe like to stop and take picture here and buy souvenir for their love one back to their home.

Local people the Dusun tribe is living around this area and trading their local produce. This is a regular tourist pit stop where a variety of good quality handicrafts can be purchased as well as the deliciously nutty flavored brown hill rice specialty from the area, together with extra sweet pineapples.

All the tourist can enjoy the Tamu for Pekan Nabalu every Thursday morning starting from 6.00am till 2.00pm in the afternoon. The price of all the local produce can be bargain and the price is affordable. Tourist will satisfy with the good sell and surely they will visit it again and again. Mostly the local sell vegetable, fruit and traditional costume for the visitor.

Pekan Nabalu still under the jurisdiction of District council of Tamparuli and all the building are belong to Majlis Daerah Tuaran. For all folks out there don't forget to stop by at this town when you make your trip to Ranau or Sandakan. Enjoy....guys

Tamparuli Sabah

Tamparui Town - less than 10 years in the future!!

I was amazed with the shopping complex in Dongonggon this morning when I visit my friend there. The huge and a big shopping complex call "Mega Long" which comprise a lots of shops and outlets selling many kinds of product and services. I was wondering what will happen if this big shopping malls built in Tamparuli?

Although it was small compared with other shopping complex in Kota Kinabalu such as Suria, Center Point, Karamunsing, Wisma Merdeka, City Mall and 1Borneo but with a small town like Dongonggon it is better than nothing. I think it is not possible for Tamparuli town to own her shopping complex someday. I think there is still enough space in Tamparuli town to be allocated for a building like "Mega Longs" in the future. The development surly will bring a lot jobs and income to th citizen of Tamparuli.

Now when you go to Tamparuli town you will see a lot of development constructed by the local authority such the new shop lot beside Tamparuli Suspension Bridge, wall being built a the rear of Tuaran river to decrease the impact of flood and so forth. Tamparuli need to be reconstruct again so that it will be come a modern town. We as the citizen of Tamparuli should gave more idea to the local authority so that they have a lot of idea to develop our beloved Tamparuli town. Asang Mee Soup at Tamparuli Town

Tamparuli Town - Mee Soup Stall "Mi Sup Asang" (No 8)

The best mee soup stall in Tamparuli is located near the Tuaran river (No 8) beside Tamparuli suspension bridge and all the local living in Tamparuli town usually call it "Mi Sup Asang". Every wednesday morning (Tamu Tamparuli) the stall is full of customer coming form all over Tuaran district like to eat Mee Soup here.

It only cost about RM4 per bowl (Small with mix of beef such as chicken, beef and meat ball) while RM4.50 per bowl (Big with mix of beef such as chicken, beef and meat ball) and water with ice serve FOC. This line of stalls is so popular among the young and old folks living in Tamparuli Town and other village in Tuaran district. My brother and my other relative really like to eat here. The stall is always full with customer during weekdays and weekends.FYI this " Mi Sup Asang "stall is close every Thursday.

The ingredient of the soup is secret and no body no what the owner put inside this mee soup. Some old folks from Tamparuli said, the founder of this mee soup is originated from China in the middle of 1950s. There are many stall and restaurant that serve delicious food in Tamparuli town other than this " Mi Sup Asang" and mostly of the chef is Chinese and the cost is really affordable. You can choose which ever restaurant that you like when you visit Tamparuli town. In the next article about Tamparuli best food will be publish next time. Thanks for reading....

Tamparuli - St Benedict Hatob-Hatob

ST Benedict Retreat Center - Hatob - Hatob Waterfall

The beautiful site of Hatob -Hatob Waterfall, located 45 Minute walk from St Martin, Malangang Lama, 14km from Tamparuli town and 8km from Kiulu town. It was a new retreat center for the Catholics in Tuaran district.

Although is wholly own by the Catholic Ministry of Tuaran but it is open for the public without looking at their religion background. It has a good scenery and your eyes will not satisfy touring and enjoying at this site. It comprise 7 waterfall, a chalet, camping ground and very nice "Denai" which mean a small human made road where by you can hear birds sound and if you are lucky you can see a monkey and other wildlife.

I was been there 17 years ago and I feel really excited when my brother gave me a lot of picture and information about St Benedict Hatob - Hatob Waterfall new looks. Wow... it is so wonderful picture and I'm hoping to visit this waterfall in short time.During that day St Benedict Hatob-Hatob waterfall just comprise a small hut and there is no a nice and warm place to stay. Recently on 31 August 2010, the youth from St John Tuaran have their first activity there and they told me that their really like to stay there and enjoy all day long and it was a perfect place to relex your mind and body. All this information is shared from my brother and his friends. One of the main objective to publish this story is to share it among the public living in Tuaran and waterfall lover around the globe. below is the details for anyone interested to make a trip to St Benedict Hatob-Hatob Waterfall.
