What say you about the current ruling government in Sabah? It's helping the people or not? If we compare with the previous state administration, which one was the best? To answer all this question we must refer to ex politician or chief minister perspective and opinions. Although their idea may different between them but we can choose the best opinion by comparing it. From my perspective view, as long as the current administration helping the society that will be consider as the best administrative. Win the people heart and surely you will got the best feedback from the them. HARRIS commended Musa whom he described as a "people-loving leader" and the current State Administration as the best led.
"He really cares for the people. I would like to thank the Chief Minister and the State Government for assisting the cooperative," he said.
Harris admitted that when he was Chief Minister helming the Berjaya Government (1976-84), some of the projects implemented were unsuccessful because he depended too much on his staff.
"Now I am no longer the Chief Minister I make sure I go down to the ground personally to monitor all the projects," he said.
He thanked Musa for allocating RM1 million to KSKB.
"The Prime Minister also promised a substantial allocation to help the co-operative implement its projects.
Harris said the support from both the State and Federal Governments signifies that the co-operative's strategy and programme are in line with the State and Federal policies to once and for all eradicate poverty in the country.
The CSKB therefore deserved the support from everyone including government departments and agencies, he said. He said the co-operative would be extending its sphere of activities in the future by providing market for the smallholders who have fruit trees such as durian, langsat, rambutan, tarap, jackfruit and other seasonal fruits.
When these fruits start producing at the same time, he said there would be a glut in the market for it and thus providing only a small income to the smallholders and farmers.
Hence, CSKB is aiming to produce a five-year development (2012-2017) and open up more than 5,000 farm lots statewide.
Within the five-year development period, it hopes to open multi-purpose processing centr each in Keningau, Ranau, Tuaran and Kota Marudu.
"The establishment of the processing centres would ensure the produce from the farmers and smallholders are purchased by the co-operative that, in turn, process it into marketable products," he said.
