KOTA KINABALU: A 3km fun race to promote a healthy lifestyle for the masses will be held on Dec 18, at the Tamparuli town field.
“The first 1,000 runners who sign up for the run will get free T-shirts (only for eight years old and above), and those who complete the course within 60 mins will be entitled to a coupon for lucky draw prizes,” said race director P. Ponniah.
“The prizes in the offing are notebook, mountain bike, handphone, electrical appliances and hampers.
“The runners are required to report for the race at 6am, followed by a warming-up exercise and the flagging off at 7.45am by Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports cum Tamparuli Assemblyman Datuk Jahid Jahim,” he added.
The event known as ‘Larian Cergas Tamparuli’ is jointly organised by the Federal Youth and Sports Department of Sabah and Tamparuli sub-district office.
