Duriana Behi gone missing for second time.

A single mother is appealing to the public to look for her 12-year old daughter who has gone missing since Saturday - for the second time. Posters of her daughter have been pasted by RHB bank around town, especially around Api-Api centre, and as far as Beaufort. Diana Behi, 28, said her daughter, Duriana Behi, had asked for her permission to go and buy some food near their house in Kepayan Ridge at about 2pm that day, but failed to return.

"After about 30 minutes, I went out to look for her, but she was nowhere to be found. I then asked a friend about what I should do and she suggested that I lodge a report the next day, which I did on April 1," she said. She did not state the reason for the delay in lodging the report. She also did not say why only a picture of her child as a seven-year old was available instead of a more recent one.

"I am scared for her safety but I think it is better that I look for her and be as calm as I can instead of making my own speculations," she said. The police, Diana added, are also investigating. "My family and I are looking for Duriana. So are the police so I hope this matter can be solved as soon as possible," she said.

She said Duriana who studies in SK Luyang, is a friendly person and has no boyfriend as far as she knew. "The first time she went missing not so long ago, was for two days, and I got a call from my ex-husband, who is her stepfather, to come and fetch her from Inanam, where he was staying," she said.

"They had bumped into each other and my daughter, being quite close to him decided to stay with him for a couple of days without informing me," Diana stated. "So this time, there might be a chance that she is there, too, I am not sure, but I will go to his house and look for her later. "Her biological father had left us way before she was born," she added. Diana hoped the public can contact her at 014-6516472 should they have any information.
