Sabah will create history when it hosts the 13th National Unit Trust Week, or Minggu Amanah Saham Malaysia 2012 (MSAM), in Kota Kinabalu from April 20-28.
Sabah Minister for Housing and Local Government, Datuk Hajiji Noor, thanked Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) for holding the event in Sabah.
He hoped those who visited MSAM would use the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on investment and financial planning for the wellbeing of the family.
"In the current situation where the economy has improved, I think the presence of PNB here is timely as the people will be able to learn and value the importance of managing their expenditure and finances," he said.
He said this at the pre-launch of MSAM organised by PNB, here, Saturday.
Also present were PNB President/Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman, United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation Deputy President and Member of Parliament for Tuaran, Datuk Wilfred Bumburing, and State Assemblyman for Kiulu, Datuk Louis Rampas.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to declare open the annual fair while Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin attend the closing ceremony.
